A Taste for Dance this Saturday!

We are really looking forward to A Taste for Dance this Saturday (10/26) in Berkeley!  This is always a really fun community event so come on out!  This show is kid-friendly so bring them out too!  This year we’ve got  dance performances by emFATic DANCE and special guests including dance by Laura Malouf-Renning and sing along-worthy tunes from BIG Heart. The night will also include a costume parade for the kids (everyone’s a winner!), a costume contest with prizes for the adults, and a fatshion show of some of the greatest looks from Cupcakes and Muffintops, Big Moves’ annual clothing sale with friends of NOLOSE and the FatFriendlyFunders. Amanda Cooper (aka Sally Rolls) emcees!, an all-you-care-to-eat chocolate buffet, and a costume contest! Kid-friendly event, so bring them out.

We are so looking forward to seeing everyone in costume on Saturday night…Halloween fun times indeed! That said, please, please be mindful when you are dressing up and avoid being culturally appropriative, racist, transphobic, fatphobic, ableist, or otherwise hurtful with your costumes. There are plenty of costumes, thousands in fact, to be had that are not disrespectful or hurtful to others. Please also keep in mind that this is an event where kids will be in attendance. There will be costume contests for adults and children (everyone is a winner for the kids), with prizes, so bring the best you got!
