This is the big one, folks. We work toward these shows all year long, where emFATic DANCE and other incredible performers bring you a size-diverse performance showcase like you’ve never seen. emFATic DANCE will be hitting the stage with all-new fabulous, fun, dramatic, and daring pieces with over ten dancers…an emFATic first! Guests include Etang Inyang of Raks Africa, Kitty Von Quim, Tigress Osborn, the models of Full Figure Entertainment, two new-to-our-stage musical acts: Innie & The Extroverts and GAYmous, and much, much more! Juicy D. Light of Rubenesque Burlesque emcees. Stay tuned for more details and get your tickets…this is not to missed!
Full Accessibility notes: Theater and bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. Fixed theater seats have arms. Seat width on fixed seats with arms is 19 inches. There is room for approximately 19 armless chairs in the same section that has space for scooters and wheelchairs. We will be reserving the row of seats behind the accessible section so that people in mixed size/ability groups attending the show together can sit together.
To avoid stairs in the theater, enter at the accessible entrance. For the accessible entrance to the theater, enter the campus from Fallon St. and enter at the accessible entrance at the back of the theater (the side of the theater that is closest to the art gallery and 10th St.–see photo and also at link:http://www.laney.edu/wp/
The theater is across the street from Lake Merritt BART. Parking on sunday will be more difficult as a flea market happens in the big Laney Parking lot on Sundays. We recommend BART on Sunday or allowing for extra time for parking.
