There are many, many ways that individuals can support Big Moves, everything from putting us in your will to bringing us cupcakes for rehearsals. Here we present the four types of help that are particularly, well, helpful...

1. Money
It can't buy love, but it can sure buy other things that we need, like rehearsal time, plus-size costumes, theater rentals, postcard printing, storage facilities, even hosting for this web site! Big Moves has two different fiscal sponsors, through which you can make tax-deductible donations to our operations on either coast. Click the appropriate link below to make your donation today!

2. Time
You've seen the rest of the web site, so you know we've got a lot going on. Who do you think hands out programs, sells our swag at shows, handles our homestay, picks up sweaty costumes from the stage, passes out our flyers at promotional appearances? Why, YOU do! Or people like you, people who love what Big Moves dances for and are willing to press some of their time into our service as volunteers. We have backstage and front-of-house needs for productions, as well as special and ongoing projects for the general health and well-being of the Big Moves machine. 3. Skills
The dancers and teachers of Big Moves are the front line, but we need mad, pro bono skills all over the place: accounting and bookkeeping services, video recording and editing, fat-positive visual artists, musicians (live and recorded), legal advice, publicity and marketing support, carpentry, costume construction... this list really does go on and on! If you think you have some skill that we might need, drop us a line and let us know!

4. Stuff
How else to call it? Some of the material things that we need are out there, waiting for a good, grateful home. Here's a short list--just a start, you understand--of some of the things that we can always use, if not right away, then sometime soon:

• food and wine for our receptions and special events
• fabrics (spandex, lycra, spangled, glittery... you get the picture)
• plus-size second-hand, costume-y type outfits (for spring 2008 Big Moves Boston is in particular need of items that look 1930s)
• in-kind printing of stationery, posters, and postcards
• airline miles (yes, we travel!)
